Okra or Gombo, to Cook

 Ingredients 

  • One pint of okra
  • One pint of skinned, ripe tomatoes
  • One onion
  • One tablespoon of butter
  • One tablespoon of water
  • A pinch of salt and pepper 

Directions 

  1. Chop up okra into fine pieces. 
  2. Add tomatoes, onion, butter, and a pinch of salt and pepper. 
  3. Mix water into ingredients. 
  4. Stew ingredients together until tender. 
  5. Serve with choice of meat or poultry.
