Ingredients
- Water
- Six to eight large ripe tomatoes
- Salt
- Pepper
- Butter
- Crackers
- Sugar (Optional)
Directions
- Boil water.
- Place ripe tomatoes in boiling water for a few minutes to scorch the skin.
- Remove tomatoes from water.
- Skin the tomatoes.
- Chop up the tomatoes.
- Add butter to a skillet.
- Add chopped up tomatoes to skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Let it simmer.
- Add a spoonful of crushed up crackers.
- May add sugar but it's optional.
- Bring fire to low heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
