Irish Potatoes Mashed
Ingredients
- 8 to 10 Irish potatoes
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt for boiling
- 2 1/2 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 cup of milk
- A pinch of salt for taste
Directions
- First, peel the potatoes and then put the potatoes in a pot and fill the pot with enough water to cover the potatoes. Add the 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the water before boiling.
- Boil potatoes until the potatoes are tender. Let the potatoes cool off for a few minutes before putting them in a bowl then add in the 2 1/2 tablespoons of butter.
- With a potato masher or tablespoon, mash and mix the potatoes and butter.
- Slowly pour in the milk mixing the potatoes and butter with it. Pour in as much or as little milk for desired consistency.
- Add the pinch of salt for taste.
