Ingredients
- One fine, rich pumpkin
- Butter (for serving)
- Bread (for serving)
Directions
- Seed, pare, quarter and cut pumpkin into half-inch thick slices.
- Arrange slices in a large, shallow baking-pan with a little water, two slices deep.
- Bake very, very slowly until dry and tender.
- Butter each strip on both sides, and eat with bread-and-butter.
