Marshmallow Cake

Ingredients

  • One cup of butter
  • Two cups of sugar
  • Three cups of flour
  • Two teaspoons of Dixie baking powder
  • One cup of sweet milk
  • Six eggs
  • One cup of cream
  • Two cups of granulated sugar
  • One-half cup of water
  • Sixteen marshmallows

Directions

  1. Add 1 cup of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 3 cups of flour, 2 teaspoons of Dixie baking powder, 1 cup of sweet milk, 4 eggs, and one cup of cream into a bowl.
  2. Beat until stiff.
  3. Layer batter into 3 layers.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  5. Boil ½ cup of water with 2 cups of sugar until it is a syrup.
  6. Place 2 eggs in another bowl and beat until stiff.
  7. Heat 16 marshmallows in a slow oven.
  8. Pour syrup over beaten eggs
  9. Add melted marshmallows to the mix.
  10. Spread and smooth over baked cake.
