Ingredients
- 6 large apples
- 1 pint of water
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon (approx. 2 tablespoons)
- 1 cup of sugar
Directions
- Cut the apples in half and remove all the seeds.
- Simmer the apples in water, lemon juice, and sugar until tender.
- Once apples are sufficiently tender, remove apples from syrup and place them in a dessert dish.
- Continue to boil the syrup until rich and clear, then pour syrup over the apples.
