Ingredients
- 1/2 a cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 tablespoonful of baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup of milk
- 4 cups of fresh peach slices
- 1 tablespoonful of lemon juice
- Nutmeg
Directions
- Melt the butter in a dish.
- Combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and one cup of sugar.
- Add in the milk then stir until the dry ingredients become moistened.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter.
- Bring the peach slices, lemon juice, and the other cup of sugar to a boil over high heat while stirring constantly.
- Pour over batter.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake until golden brown.
