Peach Cobbler

 Ingredients

  • 1/2 a cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 tablespoonful of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 4 cups of fresh peach slices
  • 1 tablespoonful of lemon juice
  • Nutmeg

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a dish.
  2. Combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and one cup of sugar.
  3. Add in the milk then stir until the dry ingredients become moistened.
  4. Pour the batter over the melted butter.
  5. Bring the peach slices, lemon juice, and the other cup of sugar to a boil over high heat while stirring constantly.
  6. Pour over batter.
  7. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  8. Bake until golden brown.
