1) Ingredients
- Sweet potatoes, as many as you desire
- Brown sugar
- Butter
Directions
- Boil potatoes until nearly cooked through
- Remove from water
- Peel and slice potatoes
- Sprinkle with brown sugar
- Fry in hot butter
2) Ingredients
- Sweet potatoes, as many as you desire
- Lard
Directions
- Peel and slice raw sweet potatoes
- Soak in very cold water
- Fry in hot lard
- More lard and hotter makes potatoes dryer
3) Ingredients
- Sweet potatoes, as many as you desire
- Butter
- Brown sugar
Directions
- Boil sweet potatoes
- Remove from water
- Peel potatoes
- Mash potatoes with butter
- Put in baking dish
- Cover with brown sugar
- Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit until soft
Additional Notes
Sweet potatoes are improved if the tough outside skin is removed, and cooked under roast beef.
