Ingredients
- Five pounds of beef (off the round)
- Pork fat
- Garlic
- Lard
- One pint of water
- Flour
- Onions
- Tomatoes
- Garlic
- Spices
Directions
- Poke holes in the beef.
- Push pork fat and garlic into the gashes.
- Boil the lard.
- Brown the beef on both sides in the lard.
- Take the beef out of the pot.
- Brown the flour and onions.
- Add a pint of boiling water mixed with tomatoes, garlic, and spices.
- Place the beef back in.
- Simmer slowly for three hours.
