Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of water
- 2 cups of flour
- 2 level teaspoons of Dixie baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
- 9 tablespoons of water
Directions
Cake
- Combine 1 1/2 cups of powder sugar, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of water, 2 cups of flour, and 2 level teaspoons of Dixie baking powder.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, then bake.
Cooked Icing Filling
- 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar, 9 tablespoons of water, cook until it begins to rope.
- Pour it into the whites of three eggs, well beaten.
- Beat this until it cools.
- Mix with it pecans or chocolate or any you prefer.
- Spread between layers of cake. This will make four good layers.
