Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or arrowroot
  • 1 quart cream
  • 4 egg whites 

Directions

  1. Thicken 1 quart of milk with 1 quart of cornstarch or arrowroot.
  2. Sweeten and let mixture boil.
  3. Cool the mixture. 
  4. Add 1 quart of cream.
  5. Flavor to taste.
  6. Freeze the mixture until it begins to thicken.
  7. Whip lightly 4 egg whites in a bowl and add to the mixture.
