Ingredients
- 1 ounce gelatin
- 1 1/2 pints milk
- 1/2 pound white sugar
- Yolks of 6 eggs
- Vanilla
- 1 pint whipped cream
- Sponge cake
Directions
- Boil gelatin in the milk.
- Add beaten egg yolks and sugar.
- Flavor with vanilla.
- Chill until it begins to stiffen.
- Stir in whipped cream.
- Line serving dish with strips of sponge cake.
- Pour in the Charlotte Russe mixture.
- Chill until served.
