Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups of flower
- 1 1/2 cups of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon of buttermilk
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup of walnuts
Directions
- Beat eggs.
- Mash bananas.
- Coarsely chop walnuts.
- Grease and flower 9 x 5-inch baking loaf pan.
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add baking soda to buttermilk.
- Stir in buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add flower, sugar, and salt and mix well.
- Fold in bananas and walnuts.
- Pour mixture into loaf pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread splits.
