Apple Sauce for Roasted Goose

Ingredients

  • Four apples
  • Butter
  • Nutmeg

Directions

  1. Pare, core, and slice the apples.
  2. Put the apples into a saucepan.
  3. Add enough water to keep them from burning.
  4. Stew them until soft and tender.
  5. Mash to a paste. 
  6. Add nutmeg and butter for sweetness
